In her year-long devotional book, Gennifer Benjamin Brooks identified 365 “women of the Bible.” Each day, the reader is invited to take a peek into the lives of of a woman or group of women and her/their role in God’s story. Included are the more familiar: Mary Magdalene, Hagar, Ruth — the obscure: Achsah, Tirzah, Abi — and the unnamed: a slave girl, older women, chosen gentlewoman. Each day’s entry ends with a prayer for the day.
This book is for you if you never before realized there are hundreds of women in the Bible!
This book is for you if you are curious about their role in God’s story and how their story might illuminate your own role in God’s story.
This book is for you if you are looking for a unique devotional resource.
The author has included an “index of names with days and scripture passages” and an “index of scripture passages and days.” These helpful resources will assist in creating a Bible study, sermon prep or simply finding your way back to a specific entry.
